Nexcartil injection contains L-Carnitine (Amino acid responsible for energy production and muscle health). It is indicated in the treatment of systemic primary carnitine deficiency prevalent in CKD patients. It is used in the treatment of Cardiomyopathy (weak heart muscles), skeletal myopathy (weak skeletal muscles), Ischaemic cardiomyopathy (Coronary heart disease), long term haemodialysis, Oligospermia (low sperm count).
Common side effects are Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, heartburn and diarrhoea.
